Last week was a whirlwind visit to 3 cities where I presented workshops on flash photography – Grand Rapids (MI), Chicago (IL) and Indianapolis (IN). The format of the workshop is now established and presented in the same way as I first did with the Denver workshop last month.
Here are some images of some of our models, where we used different technqiues with flash, whether on-camera and bounced off reflectors or different surfaces, or off-camera with a softbox.

Thank you to everyone who attended, and a special thanks to our models who were all patient and great to work with.

Can’t wait for the workshop in Philadelphia!!!

Neil – thanks for all of the tips in Indy! We loved the workshop and have begun incorporating those things into our process. We went back through our images of the models and said several times “Did I really shoot that?!?!”
See you in Phoenix!

Neil -
Had a great time learning from you in Chicago, sorry we couldn’t stay for the whole evening. Your advice and workshop has given us so much more confidence with lighting in most every situation we now come across (instead of having to shoot in a very limited portion of the day).
Extremely valuable seminar!!
Thanks so much for your gracious lessons!! Camela and Paul

Great workshop, we learned so much and got us thinking about our photography and the lighting of each photograph. Thanks Neil, for opening our eyes and teaching us your techniques.

Neil, thank you for opening my eyes to manual setting. The class was great. Every time I bounce I’ll think of you.
And, we had a great model.
Regards,
Sandra
