The title of the (approx) 2 hr presentation is: Just give me the f-stop
The presentation is based on the perception that many photographers, in trying to get to grips with flash photography, try to break it down into what they think are the understandable elements – the numerical values of the settings used. However, the scenarios we encounter as photographers vary so much, that it becomes meaningless for anyone to “give you the f-stop”. What is far more important is the methods we use in lighting, such as how to get to correct exposure, and how to get beautiful light, and how to enhance the existing light with controlled use of flash. And it is in this intersection between available light and flash that we get great results in seamlessly blending flash with available light.

Believe it or no I was probably one of the rare few tonoght…I am not a professional photographer but a CPA who loves photography (sadly probably more than accounting)…I am looking forward to oneday attending one of your all day seminars….I see that I just missed the recent one in NY…I will keep my eyes out for the next one in the local area…
Finally, I started reading your new book entitled “On-Camera Flash”….It is definitely different from all of the rest…It is clear and concise…I look forward to going through it over and over until it starts becoming intuitive…

I just read your September 30th post where you have decided to limit your future seminars to the local NJ/NYC area for 2010 and beyond. May I say that I am ecstatic with that…living here in Fair Lawn…I have already told a friend of mine about your seminar at Unique University in Fairfield…We are both looking forward to your 2 day seminar in 2010….anywhere in the local area would be great…
I am just about about finished reading your book…The next time I will read with camera in hand and try to duplicate your shots the best I can…
