Switching to canon again Neil?
& Is that the 300 F2.0? Though I love the quality of it & esp the paperthin DOF ofcourse, I think it’d be too much of a burden to bring along to a wedding when I’ve also got a 70-200 2.8. Is there a lot of difference when used for portraits between the 2?
Too bad I can’t afford it anyway…

Just need to many Rands for that Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS II lens. I agree with Joost’s sentiments.
Would love to own it though.
Keep up the excellent work ..

Joost, I think you meant 200mm f2.0…. amazing lens though – for those who can afford to use it, or even want to carry it.
Great update, Neil, will make it much easier to browse through the reviews – you have a lot of catching up to do though, with Nikon releasing the 16-35mm and 24mm f1.4, not to mention the TC 20 EIII, which seems to work fabulously in combination with the new 70-200mm.

Neil:
This is a wonderful site to visit and I echo the appreciation from others for your time devoted to sharing so much information.
With this added reviews feature will you be giving us an update on your experience using the MacBookpro? Do you perform all of your photo editing on it? Is it the dual core version that you have, if so, do you find the processor fast enough for your needs?

Your site just gets better and better! Thank you for putting in this effort. I’ve already purchased your first book, and hopefully I can repay you a little bit more when book #2 comes out.
By the way, I know its difficult to come up with content all the time – if you ever get stuck, I’m sure all of us can provide a hefty number of suggestions that might ease that burden a bit
thanks again!

Canon (we use Canon) have very little respect for their customers. So don’t expect to hear from them.
The 5D Mk II should have been upgraded to incorporate the best features of the Canon 7d along with the Dual processor system. A lot of users would have liked to see that happen. It is a bit like GM producing the same cars/trucks with built in flaws over and over again.
Without earth shaking competition nothing will happen. Perhaps they just hated to see that they could not sell the 21MP sensor for $8000. This we give a big Thank You Sony (for their 24 MP FF sensor).
