I’m in the top 5% of top wedding photographers in New Jersey!
![]() |
It’s quite thrilling to hear that I won the Bride’s Choice Awards 2011 from WeddingWire! This is the 2nd year in a row. This means I’m in the top 5 percent of Wedding Professionals nationwide. Well, actually, it means I am in the Top 5 percent of wedding photographers in New Jersey. But being a percentage, it still holds true for nation-wide. Working as a wedding photographer has its own reward in how clients appreciate the photography. Even then, it’s a great pleasure to be recognized like this. |
Swinging cameras around on the wedding day is pretty cool, but the hours and hours spent in the office in front of the computer … I’ll take this award as recognition of that as well. ; )

Congratulations on the award. If I could give you an award for the best instructional photography blog, I would. I visit many such sites (strobist, etc.), but none of the writers dispense information quite as liberally as you. Hands-on, on-the-job instructions is what I come to this blog for. And that I get in spades. Thanks for this. And may you win many such awards in the future!

Congratulations.
I’m always asked if I shoot weddings, and my reply is always, “No.” Weddings scare the bejeezes out of me, even though technically, I know the results would please the couples. Maybe one day…

Well done Neil – so well deserved! I know exactly what you mean about the hours spent in front of the computer after the ‘event’!! Most people have no idea about the time devoted side of things.

Once again… well done and very well deserved. What they don’t recognise is service to other togs. We vote you in the top 1% for that too!

Congratulations on a winning it a second year in a row. Three-peat? :-)
Say, is this award posted anywhere on Wedding Wire’s website, or are only the vendors notified? I can’t seem to find this on their site.

Congratulations Neil! And just as important (or so we hope) is how much we, your followers, appreciate all you do in terms of sharing your thoughts and opinions on photography techniques, tricks and tips.
It’s great you are not one of those who feels like he must hide his knowledge, but instead hopes to make all of us better photographers.
