The life of a hard drive and data to back it up (no pun intended, well, maybe a little)

    And still I see so many new photographers complain in Facebook groups about loss of data, begging for any kind of help.

    I have a hard time suppressing my response of, "go to your back-up drive".

    Anyway, interesting to see these figures. And from this, there's also the hard-hitting realization that we're talking about hard drives surviving but a few years only, before they are really prone to failure.
  • If anyone uses back blaze they sent an email, last week, touching on this also. My back ups have backed up back ups. Drives are cheap why take chances.
