I had read the review, just re-read it and Neil's post about the weight and balance on a tripod answered my main question.

Will probably go ahead with the purchase I think.

The weight isn't heavy. In fact, I had initially planned for that review to be a video review, with 2 of us hitting the streets of NYC with a model. I shoot, and my assistant walks with me, holding the B1 and a 1x3 stripbox. It's that light.

Thanks Neil. Always good to have some real-world experience to refer to before purchasing. Not too many options to try out stuff in Ireland. I have a 24x24 ezybox, do you think this will work for group portraits?

A shoot-through umbrella would work better than a 24x24 softbox for the groups.
