The last discussion, No Portraits allowed! (
http://neilvn.com/forum/discussion/1066/no-portraits-allowed#Item_46)
is/was going well with some sweet work displayed. Would love to see some portraits now and the same rules apply:
1) The photo must be part of the text. I do not like having to download the photos to view them. Please use the INSERT IMAGE icon.
2) Lets limit the photo to 1024 on the largest size since bogging down Neil's bandwidth is not the goal here
3) One photo per post.
4) Please post more after someone else had their turn
5) Suggestion?
I would also like to know WHY you are posting the photo. Do you like the light? Your processing? Was it a "first"..etc.
I am posting this photo because it was taken way back with a Canon T1i and the plastic fantastic 50mm with only window light. I saw the rain drops on the window and called my son over-he did the rest and it only cost me a happy meal. I like the light, the BW conversion and the mood. The print is on metallic paper and we love it.

This is one of my first attempts at on camera bounce flash. Thanks to Neil for all the insights into flash photography. I bounced my light off of the brick wall then color corrected in post.
Posting this one because she was still a baby at the time and I was just starting to get better at photography. She was getting her face painted at our university and I just had to crouch behind her to get this. We have a nice 8x12 of it hanging up. I am hopeful that my kids will love all the photos of them (when they grow up) that I have taken of them over the years...
The last shot, Mr. Hardhat, was one that I bungled badly in terms of exposure. I had just finished shooting using M mode when this guy caught my eye. I swung around and grabbed a shot which ended up being underexposed by more than three stops. Ain't raw great?
EDIT: Well now, too late, I see the request to limit the photos to one per post. I tried to delete the last image but got a "don't have permission to do that" error. Sorry.
And Zenon, all I see is that RX8 in the back...and that white Miata
