  • Product Description

The new Ezybox Hotshoe centers around the new Bracket LL LS2414 (formerly LL LS2410). The new bracket is made of Delrin (a Nylon derivative), is designed to flex - not bend, can fit the Nikon SB900 flash, and has a rectangular hole to match that of a tilt-head flash. It can accept a handle mount flash with optional mount plates for Metz 76, Metz 45 and Quantum flashes and can accept optional studio type accessories such as beauty dishes, snoots and reflectors (sold Separately). EzyBox Hotshoe was the first pop open softbox for shoe mounted flashes and remains the leading product in this category based on the quality of light they put out and their robust construction. With no rods to put in set up and tear down time on these softboxes less then 2 minutes making them perfect for on location photographers. They ship with both an inner and an outer diffuser which provides the soft, luscious light that will fall on the subject. Ezybox Hotshoes ship with a bracket that will the mounting of all standard shoe mount flashes including Nikon's SB900 and will attach to a standard light stand or boom pole.

Works great if you are willing to purchase the other parts necessary for this to work properly.

Works great with my Octa, only complaint I have is that I had to order this cause my original Octa from Optics Planet did not come with this part. I tried to work with them in getting the part, huge hassle. So I just opted to purchase it myself and be done with it. Very strong and sturdy.

I have used this with several types of speedlight and a number of different fittings. In fact I have used it to adapt my own light fittings - it makes a great mounting for your own build if you are making light setups for your studio work.

Lastolite make great quality products, but their latest offering, which enables larger hot shoe fitting is somewhat of a mixed offering.
I love the functionality and flexibility that the hot shoe offers. It's easy to use and adjust, when assembling an ezybox set up. Unfortunately, Lastolite have down graded from metal, as was the case with the old hot shoe, to plastic. Any tightening or adjustments don't instil confidence. It lacks any rigidity, so the use of smaller ezyboxes is recommended.
It's also expensive to buy. However, if you need one, it's the only option. Shop around and look out for second hand deals.
