Models @\u00a0on-location photography workshops<\/h1>\n

With the flash photography workshops<\/a>, we get to photograph models while learning more about lighting and posing. We also look for interesting available light, i.e., “found light” that give an unexpected look. Here then are\u00a0typical examples of the kind of photographs that the photographers and myself will take during an on-location photo session or workshop\u00a0with a model. The photographs are a good representation of images taken at these workshops – they include\u00a0off-camera flash, available light, and video light.<\/p>\n

The workshops mostly deal with lighting and posing, and are fun, with a relaxed tempo. We will either use speedlights, or the larger Profoto B1 flash. Some of the photos here were taken with just the available light that we had\u00a0–\u00a0if the light already looks good, we use that. If not, we use (mostly) off-camera lighting to get portraits which have a dynamic look to them. Since lighting and posting are inter-connected, we concentrate\u00a0on that as well.<\/p>\n
