My friend, Tracy, who you might remember from a previous &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/neilvn.com\/tangents\/category\/two-perspectives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Two Perspectives<\/a>&#8221; video, where we photographed <a href=\"https:\/\/neilvn.com\/tangents\/video-on-location-headshots-two-perspectives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">headshots on location in New York<\/a>. The topic that Tracy asked me about, is one that regular followers of the Tangents blog will be familiar with &#8211; How to make your on-camera flash NOT look like on-camera flash. This Youtube Live event was held via a Zoom video conference and then streamed via YouTube. I answered all the questions that appeared in the chat area.<\/p>\n<p>As always, if you have questions, please post them here (or on the Zeiss Youtube video) &#8211; I will gladly answer.<\/p>\n<p>The flashes I used here, are the <a href=\"https:\/\/neilvn.com\/tangents\/recommends\/profoto-a1x-flash-sony\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Profoto A1x flashes<\/strong><\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/neilvn.com\/tangents\/recommends\/profoto-a1x-flash-sony-bh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>B&amp;H<\/em><\/a> \/ <em><a href=\"https:\/\/neilvn.com\/tangents\/recommends\/profoto-a1x-flash-sony\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Amazon<\/a><\/em>).<br \/>\nHere is my original review of the <a href=\"https:\/\/neilvn.com\/tangents\/review-profoto-a1-flash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Profoto A1 flash<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In this Youtube Live video, I show and use my preferred on-camera light modifier &#8211; the <a href=\"https:\/\/neilvn.com\/tangents\/about\/black-foamie-thing\/\">Black Foamie Thing<\/a>. The Profoto A1 \/ A1x does come with a <a href=\"http:\/\/neilvn.com\/tangents\/images\/profoto\/A1\/Profoto-A1-bounce-card.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>bounce card<\/strong><\/a>, which you can turn around and use as a black flag in the same way as I use that piece of foam that I attach to my flashes.
