These events are limited to just small group of photographers.\u00a0Definitely un-crowded! The format is similar to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/neilvn.com\/tangents\/photo-walks-nyc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Photo Walks\u00a0in\u00a0NYC<\/a>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0I bring a Profoto B1 flash, and enough\u00a0Nikon and Canon TTL controllers for everyone. So the attendees\u00a0just had\u00a0to bring your camera and lenses.<\/p>\n<p>I changed the format from previous years, which were mini-workshops in and around the MGM. Shooting at a a more exotic location like the Nelson Ghost Town, offered us\u00a0a great variety of settings in a small area.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/neilvn.com\/tangents\/images\/models\/haley-travis\/DSC_1291.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"900\" height=\"601\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A pull-back shot to show how the e\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/neilvn.com\/tangents\/recommends\/profoto-b1-500-ws-airttl-flash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Profoto B1 flash<\/a>\u00a0(<em><a href=\"https:\/\/neilvn.com\/tangents\/recommends\/profoto-b1-500-ws-airttl-flash-bh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">B&amp;H<\/a>\u00a0\/\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/neilvn.com\/tangents\/recommends\/profoto-b1-500-ws-airttl-flash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Amazon<\/a>)<\/em>\u00a0was positioned. Because we had to deal with strong gusts of wind, a softbox would&#8217;ve been impractical &#8211; so we used the bare flash.
