Roundtable discussion, NYC – event photographer
The selection of images here are from several roundtable discussions that this client had arranged. What makes this set of photos different from the rest of my portfolio of business events that I have photographed, is that the light levels were really low. And they didn’t want flash. Usually with business events presented on a stage, or where there is a trade show, there is enough light to take photos without flash, but still have camera settings that are “comfortable”. But when the light levels are really low, that’s when fast lenses come into their own — lenses with large apertures that can pull in even the really subdued amount of light — which then still allow the event to be properly captured with photos (and video.)
Similar to the majority of photos shown in this portfolio of Business Events that I have photographed, I use cameras that are absolutely silent. Not a sound. That, along with the fast lenses, allow me to take photos and barely be noticed. No sound. No flash. Just photographs that represent the people that attended the event — people interacting and enjoying the event and discussion.
