2010 overview – my favorite wedding photographs

December 30, 2010 Neil vN 19 Comments

best wedding images of 2010 – New Jersey wedding photographer

There seems to be a pattern here – 2010 was another crazy-busy year for me. Photographing weddings, portrait sessions, maintaining this website and writing another book … all this added up to a full calendar and not much sleep.

It is always a rewarding experience as a wedding photographer to work with wonderful brides and groom and their families. So, as a wrap-up of the year – and also to show off a bit – here is a slide show of some of my favorite wedding and engagement session images of 2010. (Oh, and you had better like House music. Soundtrack courtesy of TripleScoopMusic. )

Lovely stuff, Neil. Great inspiration to watch for the wedding I’m shooting tomorrow. Thanks for all your sharing in 2010. I look forward to what you will share with us in 2011. Happy New Year.

    Hi Neil
It is indeed nice to have known you through the net, and once again, I do appreciate your sharing wedding shoot experience and technique with flash light. Without knowing you, my wedding shoot would have remained in the same style through 2010, and I would have missed lots of good photo opportunities with flash. I have already ordered a copy of your new book through Amazon Japan and can not wait!! Happy holidays and A Happy New Year to you from Tokyo!!

    Hi Neil,
All people who follow your work know how busy you always are. But you could tell me how many weddings did you in 2010, both as main and as second photographer?.

    Thanks again,

    Alfredo

Alfredo … I’d rather stay away from business specific details.

But, I will mention that the slideshow didn’t include the Bar Mitzvahs that I photographed in 2010, whether for myself or as second shooter with others; or the weddings I second shot with other photographers in 2010.

There were also two of my clients in 2010 that requested that their images not be used online.

    Hi Neil

    Nice pictures.

What software did you use for producing the slideshow.

    Thanks

I used iMovie to create the slideshow. Previous years I used Show-It slideshow software, but it only produces a Flash-based slideshow. This is useless for anyone on an iPad and iPhone. So in line with making my entire site Flash-free, I decided to create the slideshow in iMovie so I can easily export it to Vimeo.

    G’day Neil.
Thank you so much for sharing your work.
Thank you so much for writing your blog!

As an enthusiastic learner, I’ve spent many hours on your website, and re-read your book a few times now.

Bouncing flash off walls has got to be the single most interesting thing I’ve done this year (photographically speaking!). People look at me strangely when they see the flash pointing the wrong way, but the results speak for themselves.

    Thanks again Neil.
When are you coming Down Under!?

P.S. I have to try this iMovie thing…
