Hi There
I am new to DSLR, though studying digital media, looking for a camera that I can use for both stills and short video and that will serve me well through my studies on and to the workplace. I currently freelance writing and I want to extend that into making multimedia packages with stills and video. I am torn between the Canon 70D or Canon7 d or Nikon d7100 as I don’t have the budget for a full frame. What way should I go?
Thanks
Col

Do you own any lenses at the moment, as that may be a deciding factor also.
As to the Nikon D7100 I really don't know anything about that camera even though I shoot Nikons, you would need to maybe see if some reviewer compares it to any of those Canons.

No lenses yet, all will be bought together, been told to veer towards the 70d, now it is just between the D7100 and the 70D. I did actually look at the snapsort and it ties the 70d and the D7100 no help there then
However, I do not want to influence you, you need to decided completely what you think is the best system, what it will be mainly used for, etc.
Good luck.
