What Camera and lens should I rent

I currently shoot w/ a Nikon d90 and have the 24-70 mm 2.8 lens. I will be shooting a wedding and would like to rent a second body. The company only has the d300, d600,d700 and d800. What would be the best stepping stone for me w/o blowing me out of the water. Also, they have the 70-200 f/2.8 G ED A F S VR II or the 70-200 f 2.8 IF-ED AF-S VR?? What is best for me?

Thanks

Jen

    I would say the D700 (or D600)
    and the VR II lens.

The D300 won't have as wonderful high-ISO performance as the other cameras.
  • Fantastic! Thanks for your help. I look forward to seeing you soon. I'm heading to the wedding seminar at unique photo in Feb. and may also get a chance to come to the off camera flash workshop in the poconos!! I love your books and site!! I've learned so much. :)
