24mm f/1.4G vs 35mm f/1.4G

I'm considering adding either the 24mm or the 35mm fixed to my bag and just wanted to hear some thoughts on which way I should go.

I mostly photograph people so I'm wondering if 24mm would be too wide. I'm thinking of using this type of lens/focal length for event photography. I shoot with a full framed Nikon.. either the D700 or D3s. Also, I would likely use it for general "walking around" photography.

Regarding my other fixed focal length lenses, I currently own the 50mm f/1.4 and the 85mm f/1.4. So, between the 24mm vs 35mm, which would best compliment what I already have?
