recap: Photography workshop – Dublin, Ireland (2011)
It’s been a hectic week, flying in to Dublin (Ireland), for two sold-out workshops there over the past weekend. (Sept 17 & 18) Barely any time for sight-seeing, but it’s been a fantastic trip over.
In the photo, from left to right: Roz, our one model (an entrant for the Miss Universe competition for Ireland!); myself; Hanna, our other model, (an entrant to Ireland and UK’s Next Top Model competition for 2011); Liam Ramsell of Pro Foto Training (host of the workshops); Jesssica, my infamous assistant with a ‘tood; and Peter Kane, our make-up artist extraordinaire.
Here is a short video clip shot during the bounce flash session of the workshop:
Thank you to everyone who attended and helped put this together.
You all helped make it a great experience.

Hey Neil,
Thanks so much for taking an effort and coming over to Dublin.
Indeed it was a fantastic day. I enjoyed it so much and learnt a lot- you are a great teacher. It’s much appreciated what you do here on your blog.
You rock :)
Pawel .. nice meeting you! And thank you again for coming so far to attend the workshop. Even better that you enjoyed the workshop and learnt a lot.
Slightly amazed at all those MASSIVE lenses everyone was using in that room. Anyone heard of large aperture prime lenses??
Nothing larger there than a 70-200mm f2.8 … which I’d take over any 135mm f2 or 85mm f1.2 any day. It’s a much more versatile lens than any large aperture prime lens.
